J. may be the best math teacher I have ever had. From a student standpoint, he not only is smart but extremely creative and strategic when coming up with lesson plans for his students. He works around their specifications and is patient when a student has difficulty processing a subject. He is kind, caring, (not to mention funny) and takes time to get to know his students so he can help in any way he can. He understands ways to help me process my emotions when needed and takes time to help me out when I’m stressed or don’t understand a certain problem.
S. is an absolutely wonderful teacher! She knows exactly how to engage with younger kids and chooses learning activities that are equally as fun. My daughter looks forward to her class with S. every week! S. is very patient and gives my daughter her time to solve a sum or answer the question. At the same time, she knows when to challenge and when to ease the lesson. She also customizes each lesson every week to my daughter’s need, and even manages to blend Math, Science, and French all in one lesson! I also love that she thinks holistically about expanding my daughter’s knowledge. All in all, we are extremely happy and highly recommend S. as a teacher!
M. combines comprehensive understanding of the material with a kind but insistent push for me to take responsibility for my learning. He gives me time to work through my own thought processes so I can own my knowledge, but with a gentle encouragement that helps me gain faith in my own abilities. Most importantly, he helped me approach my master’s project strategically, so I excelled in all my work, but without stressing myself out.

N. is a fabulous teacher. She is reliable, consistent, kind, patient and deeply knowledgable. She structured and organized our son’s work effectively, enabling him to stay on task and work through frustrations. She encouraged him to use his strengths and think creatively to solve problems. During a very stressful last semester of college where our son’s course work was doubled, N.’s support enabled him to finish his final Capstone requirements and to graduate a difficult program. We feel extremely lucky to have had such a gifted and talented teacher to help our son to succeed in following his dreams.
